About the positions

Due to its strong growth, Rennes School of business (or Rennes SB) has multiple permanent faculty positions open at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor level in the following areas:


Organizational behavior and organization theory, in particular:

Statistics and research methods


Marketing, in particular:

– Marketing metrics/analytics, customer data analysis

– B2B marketing and negotiation in a B2B context
– Brand management, digital marketing, and branding


Supply Chain Management, in particular:

– Forecasting and inventory management, stochastic optimization of supply chains

Information Systems, in particular:

– Big data management, data analytics, programming for data analytics, and social media intelligence

– IT management, IS implementation, and advanced topics in IT or IS management
– Management of information systems

More in general, we are particularly interested across all disciplines in faculty focusing on agribusiness, AI-based business, managing and organizing in a complex world, and green and demand-driven supply chain. While not essential, skills in text analytics such as topics modeling will be considered a plus.

Start date is Sept 2019, but an earlier start could be negotiated. Appointments will be made at the rank consistent with research and teaching records. Candidates with high research potential will be considered for the Assistant position level.

About the candidates

We are looking for motivated, dynamic, high-potential candidates with the following characteristics:

  • Doctoral degree in a business-related field from an internationally recognized institution (e.g., AACSB). High-potential candidates who are close to completion will also be considered;
  • Publication record (or high publication potential) in high quality international peer-reviewed research journals in management
  • Willingness to contribute to the development and growth of Rennes SB
  • Ability to deliver quality classes in English in the discipline one is hired for (teaching evaluations required). Prior knowledge of French is not required
  • Proactive and collegial attitude toward her/his colleagues, academic department, and Rennes SB as a whole
  • Willingness to reach out to local, national, and international business community to disseminate one’s research and provide expertise
