Dr Bakr Al-Gamrh is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Finance. His research focuses on corporate reporting, corporate governance, sustainability, and CSR, with publications in journals such as Corporate Governance, Business Strategy and the Environment, and International Review of Financial Analysis. He holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance and an MSc in International Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia, as well as the CMA designation (Australia, 2012). Before joining RSB, he was a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia and a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIUM, with academic experience in France, Malaysia, Australia, and the Middle East.
Dr Al-Gamrh is Associate Editor of Humanities and Social Sciences Communications (Nature) and a member of major accounting associations, including EAA, AAA, BAFA, and the International Corporate Governance Society. His work has been presented at leading international conferences, and at Rennes he teaches accounting and governance, supervises PhD and MSc students, and received the Teaching Excellence Award in 2024.
