Dr Nissreen Barakat is Assistant Professor of Strategy and Innovation. She earned her Ph.D. in Management from IGR-IAE, University of Rennes 1. Prior to joining Rennes School of Business, she held teaching and research positions at several French business schools and contributed to executive education programs in both France and China. With nearly 10 years of academic experience and over 15 years in the ICT industry as a quality assurance manager, Dr. Barakat brings a unique blend of academic depth and practical insight to the classroom.
Her research interests focus on organizational agility, innovation, AI adoption, and human agility. She has taught at all levels—bachelor’s, master’s, and executive education—in areas such as strategy, innovation management, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation. She regularly collaborates with industry partners to enrich the learning experience through real-world projects and practical tools. Notably, she works with IBM to integrate the IBM Garage Methodology into her courses, offering students hands-on exposure, expert feedback, and recognition for outstanding work.
Dr. Barakat is committed to bridging theory and practice and designing experiential learning environments that inspire, engage, and prepare students for the challenges of today’s business world.
