Dr Taoufik Bouraoui is an Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at Rennes School of Business. He earned his Doctorate in Economics from the University of Paris Nanterre, France. His research interests include financial econometrics, international finance and financial markets. He has published several articles in reputable academic journals such as Applied Economics, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, and Economics Bulletin, among others.

Dr. Bouraoui has extensive teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate and doctorate (DBA) levels. He has delivered a wide range of courses in finance, economics, and research methods. His commitment to high-quality teaching has been recognized with teaching excellence awards in 2016 and 2023.

He has contributed to academic development through leadership roles. These include serving as head of the finance department, acting academic dean, and director of the MSc in international finance programme.
