Research interests

Personal, social, and institutional influences on decision-making in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation (e.g. in the context of AI), sustainability (e.g. climate action), and international business.

Dr Jojo Jacob is Full Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategy at Rennes School of Business. A national of India, he obtained a PhD in Economics from the Eindhoven University of Technology, an MPhil from Jawaharlal Nehru University, and an MA from Madras Christian College. His research focuses on personal, social, and institutional influences on decision-making in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation (e.g. in the context of AI), sustainability (e.g. climate action), and international business. He teaches Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Previously, he was a Full Professor and an Associate Professor at Grenoble École de Management, a Research Fellow at UNU-MERIT, and an Assistant Professor at the College of St. Scholastica, USA. His publications have appeared in journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, Global Strategy Journal, European Journal of Finance, and Journal of Evolutionary Economics. He serves on the editorial board of Business Strategy & the Environment. He has been active in several external projects, including the European Union’s Framework Program for Research and Technological Development and the Research and Innovation Staff Exchange Program, and an industry-financed project on climate action. His work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals of Gender Equality, Responsible Consumption & Production, and Climate Action.
