Dr Hamid Mazloomi is an Associate Professor in the Strategy & Innovation Department at Rennes School of Business. He holds a doctorate in Industrial Systems Engineering from INPL Nancy and served as Head of the Strategy and Innovation Department at Rennes School of Business between 2020 and 2022. His academic and professional work centers on artificial intelligence in business, AI-enabled business model innovation, strategic management, and technological innovation.
At Rennes School of Business, Hamid Mazloomi teaches courses on Artificial Intelligence, AI-enabled Business Models, Strategic Management, Collaborative Innovation, and Quantitative Research Methods. He also contributes extensively to executive education, with over 10 years of experience designing and delivering courses for executive audience seeking to navigate digital transformation and technological disruption.
Dr. Mazloomi’s research focuses on interfirm collaboration, knowledge transfer, managing technological innovation, AI-enabled business model innovation, and strategic categorization. He has published in academic journals, including Industrial Marketing Management and Technological Forecasting and Social Change, advancing understanding of how organizations can innovate and adapt in fast-changing environments. Beyond academic publishing, he has contributed thought-leadership articles on innovation and strategy to leading French business newspapers such as Les Echos and La Tribune.
His scholarly contributions have been recognized internationally with several best paper awards. These include the Market & Society Track Best Paper Award at the EURAM 2018 Conference in Reykjavik, Iceland, the Best Paper Award at the International Society of Franchising Conference in Rennes, France, in 2023, and the Best Paper Award at the R&D Management Conference in 2025.
Through his teaching, research, and executive education work, Hamid Mazloomi brings together expertise in artificial intelligence, business model innovation, and strategic management. His contributions at Rennes School of Business continue to shape how organizations collaborate, transfer knowledge, and innovate in an era defined by AI and technological change.
