Dr Rod McColl is a Full Professor of Marketing. He received his Doctorate in Education, awarded best thesis, and a master’s degree (Research) from RMIT University. Industry experience includes brand management at HJ Heinz, managing director of a start-up which grew to 100 employees as well as extensive marketing consulting over 20 years. He was a faculty member at Monash and RMIT universities and more recently Head of the Graduate School of Business at Deakin University. He is co-author of Marketing in Australia with Philip Kotler and Services Marketing: A Managerial Perspective. His research has been published in the European Journal of Marketing, International Journal of Advertising, Human Resource Management Journal, Industrial Marketing Management, and Journal of Services Marketing, with more than 3500 Scholar citations. His research focuses on customer experiences and is currently a member of an EU Horizon project addressing social exclusion of elderly people.
